Design Story & Cultural Inspiration
When Shadows Shine
Crafted by artisan Nadine Qasimi, this design took shape under candlelight in her studio in Beirut, where East meets West in the most poetic forms. Nadine was inspired by the stained glass of Notre Dame and the sacred geometry of Ottoman royal insignia.
The forest-green embossed leaf, for example, symbolizes divine femininity’s renewal, while the cross and star motifs nod to celestial guidance and earthly grounding.
A Symphony of Materials
Over 15 materials were layered, from Italian foil and Japanese metallic gel to freshwater pearls and vintage filigree brooches. Each nail was curated to represent a “prayer in polish”—silent, personal, and eternal.
